Dan Stewart

A native of western Pennsylvania, Dan graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Economics, and then served as a flight officer in the US Navy. Following discharge, he and his new bride, Kathy, moved to Aberdeen, Scotland, where Dan worked on an off-shore oil rig in the North Sea. A co-worker’s fatal accident was the catalyst that led him to a relationship with Jesus and a subsequent call to ministry. Back from Scotland, Dan earned a BS in Education from Indiana University of PA, then received an MA in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. Ordained in Minneapolis,

Dan served churches there and in Princeton Jct., NJ, before his 17 years as Senior Pastor of Great Valley EPC in Malvern, PA. A minister member of the Presbytery of the East of the EPC, Dan served for 7 1/2 years as Senior Chaplain of Presbyterian Senior Living and Chaplain at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, PA. He currently serves as a workplace chaplain at a number of local businesses through Marketplace Chaplains, a nationwide ministry headquartered in Plano, TX.. Dan and Kathy live in the Honey Brook area and have three sons and a daughter, all married, who have given them 14 grandchildren (5 boys and 9 girls!).
